Activities

Day 1: In the footsteps of Tarzan

Around 7:30-8 a.m.
After contacting the travel manager, you take the road towards Bangoulap in the western region of the country. A first stop on the way will take you to a pepper plantation in Penja where you will be transported by the captivating and exotic aromas of the famous spice, and will learn techniques of this fascinating culture. After this guided tour in Penja, you will continue your journey towards Ekom-Nkam in the footsteps of Tarzan where you will be captivated by the power and wild beauty of the majestic Ekom-Nkam Falls. You will be treated to a moment of pure wonder in the heart of lush nature. You will arrive at dusk in the charming village of Bangoulap, and drop off your luggage for a well-deserved night of rest preceded by a cultural evening with heritage stories and dances around the fire.

Day 2: Hike on Mount Mbapit to discover the crater lake

A stimulating challenge awaits you when you wake up. Go for a morning hike on Mount Mbapit to conquer its crater lake. From the highest point of the mountain, you can enjoy panoramic views of the green valleys and picturesque villages below: a unique experience for trekking and adventure lovers. Then, a visit to the royal palace of the Bamoun sultans will immerse you in the fascinating history and ancestral tradition of this region. At the Foumban craft market, you will discover local crafts and art, offering you an authentic immersion in Cameroonian culture.

Day 3: Immersive visit to the Bandjoun chiefdom

Waking up to the rhythm of birdsong and the breeze of fresh air blowing in the woods around the villa sets the tone for a day rich in discovery and adventure. A first visit to the site reveals the Jean Félicien Gacha foundation, offering you an immersion in the world of contemporary art in Cameroon.
You will then take the road to reach the capital of the country. But first, take advantage of the stop at Bandjoun, (a village in the region), to live a rich experience within its chiefdom which will dazzle you with its architecture, its history and its traditions.

Day 4: Encounter with history at the national museum

Start the day with a short hike on Mont Fébé which offers you a magnificent panorama of the city. A picnic awaits you on the side of Mt.
The day continues with a visit to the National Museum of Yaoundé. A place of architectural interest with its impressive buildings and peaceful gardens, but also a place that tells you about the history and cultural and ethnic diversity of Cameroon through its rich collection of historical objects, traditional artifacts and various exhibitions.
The meeting with history continues at the reunification monument, an emblematic site erected to commemorate the unity of the country: the result of the merger of the country’s former French and British colonies in 1961. An exploration of the city in the Hausa district where you will be treated to an immersive lunch, then to Noah Village where you can relax and watch the last rays of sun disappear.
A Yaoundé by night to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the people residing there and end your stay in the capital city in style.

Day 5: On the way to the Safari

Departure for Nsimalen international airport, then boarding for Ngaoundéré in the Adamaoua region. From there, you go by 4*4 to the Bouba Ndjida camp where you will spend the night.
Bouba Ndjida National Park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, particularly its elephant populations. A safari experience in this park offers you the opportunity to observe a wide variety of wild animals in their natural habitat.

Day 6: Safari

A full day of safari: a first safari in the morning, followed by relaxation then a second safari in the afternoon.

Day 7: Walk to Lagdo

Transfer around noon to Garoua. But first, enjoy a stop at Lagdo for an immersive visit to the fishing village during which you can meet the local populations. A canoe expedition to Damans Island will allow you to observe one of the most beautiful sunsets in the country.

Day 8: Conquering the Kola gorges

The Kola Gorge is a natural landmark known for its impressive rock formations and picturesque landscape.
A morning hike on Mount Tinguelin will prepare you for the conquest of the famous Kola gorges. You can also visit the rock carvings of Bidzar before sunset.

Day 9: Return

Departure for Garoua international airport, return to Yaoundé then end of stay.
