Itinerary

Day 1

With your guide, depart very early in the morning to maximize your time in Tarangire.
Located in northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park owes its fame to its elephant population, which is one of the largest on the entire African continent. In addition to elephants, Tarangire is also teeming with an immense diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, majestic giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, impalas, several species of birds and primates. The park also has a landscape that is just as impressive as its wildlife. Giant baobabs, an emblematic symbol of Africa, punctuate the savannah and provide a picturesque setting for safaris. The Tarangire and Silale rivers meander through the park, providing essential watering holes for local wildlife.
Once in Tarangire, you can observe elephants, lions, zebras and various bird species from the Jeep. A picnic lunch in a designated place inside the park while admiring the surrounding nature and wildlife. Resume the safari and explore different parts of Tarangire and be sure to photograph the magnificent baobab trees scattered throughout the landscape.
In the late afternoon, you can head to the camp or lodge of your choice for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2

Early departure to make the most of your day in Ngorongoro.
The UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to the Ngorongora Crater, one of the largest volcanic craters in the world. This crater is home to an incredible diversity of animals, including the big five, flamingos and many others.
Late in the morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a unique safari experience during which you can explore the diverse ecosystems and spot the “Big Five”. A picnic lunch amid the breathtaking landscapes of the crater, then continue exploring the wildlife.
In the early evening, start the ascent out of the crater after which you return to the lodge in Arusha.

Day 3

Your flight is scheduled for the morning of Arusha, towards Zanzibar. Once in Zanzibar, you can visit and do activities at Prison Island? then to Nakupenda Beach, ideal for enjoying the sun, the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the surrounding tropical landscape.
Despite its dark past, Zanzibar Prison Island today is a peaceful and picturesque place that offers visitors a fascinating insight into the turbulent history of this region.
Zanzibar Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, is a small island located off the west coast of Zanzibar, Tanzania. The fascinating history of this island tells us that it was used as a prison for many years.

The prison island was established in the 19th century by the Sultan of Zanzibar to lock up recalcitrant slaves. At the time, Zanzibar was a major center of the slave trade and the prison island served as a place of detention for slaves who refused to comply with the orders of their masters.

Over the years, the prison island has also been used to intern political prisoners and dangerous criminals. Living conditions on the island were extremely harsh, with little food and water, unsanitary housing, and cruel treatment of detainees.

Today, Zanzibar Prison Island has become a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can explore the ruins of the old prison, admire the island’s flora and fauna and enjoy the magnificent beaches that surround it. Some visitors even choose to spend the night on the island in one of the small bungalows available for rental.
